The PGA Championship — one of golf's four majors — came to Tulsa's Southern Hills Country Club. Major-championship infrastructure is a compressed construction project in its own right: temporary grandstands, hospitality structures, media centers, broadcast power distribution, vendor pavilions, and miles of temporary cabling — all built in a short, immovable window and struck almost as fast once the trophy is lifted.
Event infrastructure work is a narrow subset of construction staffing. The timeline is compressed, the work is outdoors and weather-sensitive, the scope is temporary (everything gets torn down), and the specifications are dictated by broadcast and tournament requirements rather than standard commercial or industrial codes. Crewing an event of this scale required craftsmen comfortable with that tempo and scope.
